Testimonials
Thanks for an amazing week and all your support before and during the expedition. You gave us the space to truly appreciate the remoteness of the environment we were walking through, yet were still there every day making sure we were all safe and happy.

Ally and Irene are the most professional and welcoming DofE expedition provider I've come across, and I would thoroughly recommend doing an expedition with them.

Location

Locations and accommodation are carefully chosen to provide a comfortable base with easy access to suitable walking routes.

Italian journeys – same format as in Scotland but in rural Lombardia….apply for further information, dates and availability. Spanish journeys in Andalucia.

Venue

Our base is a lodge at Badaguish. It is set in the stunning landscape of the Cairngorm National Park, in the Highlands of Scotland.

Badaguish is 5 miles from the south end of Aviemore (just off the main A9 Perth to Inverness road).

The lodge is warm and roomy – think of an up-market hostel – with large dining room, kitchen and lounge, and, as you would expect, wonderful views. It can accommodate up to 17 people. Rooms sleep one, two, or four people in a mixture of single beds and bunks – most are en suite.

Meals

Meals provided are wholesome and plentiful using the best local produce to satisfy hungry outdoors people!

  • Breakfast – a self service choice of cereals, yogurt, bread, spreads, tea and coffee.
  • Lunch – wraps, paninis with a selection of fillings, fresh fruit and cakes.
  • Dinner – a choice of a two course meal – either starter/main course or main course/dessert.
  • Wine/beer will be available for purchase as required. Tea/coffee available on self-service basis.
  • Special diets are catered for, if informed in advance.

Finding Badaguish from Aviemore:

Take the road at the south end of the village signposted for Cairngorm and Loch Morlich and continue for 5 miles. Badaguish is signposted on the left before Loch Morlich. Turn at the signs and carry straight on up the forest road through the trees for 1 mile. Badaguish is set in a clearing, and the whole site is totally surrounded by wonderful forest flanked by the mountains.
